Palak is the Associate Vice President in the Corporate and Legislation team at Kasirer where she will assist on a wide array of corporate clients to develop and implement strategies.
Before joining Kasirer, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff at New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), where she worked closely with the Commissioner and senior staff in advancing the agency’s housing priorities for the city of New York. In her last year she helped build HPD’s migrant response work from the ground up and managed the agency’s emergency contracts and crisis response for arriving migrants in the City.
Palak began her career in city government through the NYC Urban Fellows program where she worked in the Inclusionary Housing division at HPD and worked on various privately financed affordable housing deals throughout the City. She also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in a nonprofit in Baltimore where she helped youth development organizations get funding for quality afterschool programs.
Palak is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where she teaches Capstone and helps graduate students develop policy reports and recommendations for their public sector clients.
Palak holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service, and a Bachelor’s from Montclair State University.
