Francisco Javier Blanco: associate, nonprofitsAs an Associate on Kasirer’s Nonprofit team, Francisco helps clients achieve their budgetary, legislative, and advocacy goals. These responsibilities include interacting with the offices of elected and government officials, supporting the development of strategic plans, advising on the budget process, and monitoring and tracking legislation and policy proposals that impact the nonprofit sector.

Before joining Kasirer, Francisco served as the Albert Vann Legislative Fellow for the New York City Council. There, Francisco was responsible for developing legislative priorities, crafting external communications, and supporting the community engagement and outreach goals for the Council District. Specifically, Francisco collaborated with nonprofits and service providers in the district to pass legislation through various City Council Committees. Beyond his legislative and communications duties, Francisco served as a liaison for the Council Member’s community engagement team, cultivating relationships with local nonprofits, community-boards, and other community stakeholders.

Francisco graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history.
