Enzo Manzano: director, nonprofitsA Director on the nonprofits team, Enzo advises clients on their budgetary, legislative needs, and strategy.

Enzo’s career in NYC began as a volunteer for a City Council campaign in the Bronx, where he was eventually hired as a field organizer. Despite this being his first campaign experience during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he successfully recruited and managed volunteers who were vital to an effective virtual and in-person Get Out the Vote (GOTV) strategy.

Following the campaign’s success, Enzo became the first hire in Council Member Eric Dinowitz’s District Office, starting as a constituent advocate. In this role, he cultivated relationships with key stakeholders across the district, including community members, non-profits, and neighboring elected officials. He also served as the primary liaison with City and State agencies to resolve constituent issues and other matters. His efforts earned him a promotion to District Office Director within a year.

Enzo later joined the Carpenter Contractor Alliance of Metropolitan New York (CCA Metro), the labor-management fund of the New York City District Council of Carpenters (NYCDCC). As Deputy Director of Community Relations, he collaborated with elected officials and non-profits citywide, combining community aid with advocacy and education on pathways to union carpentry. This role allowed him to connect with NYC’s diverse neighborhoods and communities, building a deep understanding of their needs.

At the same time, Enzo became President of the Filipino American Democratic Club of New York. Tasked with revitalizing the organization after COVID-19, he reengaged members and advocated for the Filipino American community. Under his leadership, the club hosted multiple fundraisers with 50-100 attendees, including elected officials at every level of government. He led GOTV campaigns, coordinated volunteer recruitment, and managed citywide outreach logistics. Additionally, he oversaw the financial planning for a Queens-wide coalition that organized five buses to swing states and key congressional districts during the 2024 national elections.

This work led to Enzo’s appointment as East Coast Regional Director of Filipino Americans for Harris Walz, the officially recognized AANHPI affinity group for the Harris for President campaign. Collaborating with senior national and state campaign staff, he ensured alignment with campaign objectives. He also led and supported teams in pivotal East Coast states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, to drive volunteer engagement and GOTV efforts.

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Enzo earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from De La Salle University Manila. He moved to New York City in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy, specializing in Management and Leadership, at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
