Kasirer’s SVP of Real Estate moderated Bisnow’s discussion on infrastructure and housing needs
On August 8, Kasirer’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate, Eldad Gothelf, moderated a panel discussion titled “Addressing New York City’s Infrastructure Needs to Streamline Affordable Housing Development” at Bisnow’s New York Affordable Housing Event. The event, which attracted leaders from across the real estate, construction, and government sectors, focused on the pressing need to develop affordable housing in New York City and State.
Panelists included MSquared’s Ian Lundy, NYC Housing and Preservation Development’s Deputy Commissioner Kim Darga, L+M Development Partners’s Spencer Orkus and Fried Frank’s Anita Laremont. Overall, panelists underscored that solving New York City’s affordable housing crisis requires not just building more units, but also ensuring that the infrastructure supporting these developments is robust and sustainable and expressed hope for public and private partnerships to continue to meet these needs.
Eldad was also recently featured on City & State’s 2024 Forty in their 40s list in July. In his current role at Kasirer, Eldad has played an integral role on major complex real estate projects across the city. His expertise in planning and development, coupled with his vision for successful developer-community engagement, positions Eldad to dutifully serve both the firm’s clients and the City particularly at a time of unparalleled housing needs.
Congratulations to Eldad for his honor and for participation in this informative discussion.
