Chris is a Vice President on Kasirer’s Corporate & Legislation team, where he offers strategic government relations expertise to a diverse portfolio of Fortune 500 clients and global companies pursuing opportunities in New York. His background in city, state and federal public policy, corporate social responsibility, and public-private partnerships adds substantial value to a variety of technology, transit, and hospitality industries in New York.
He was previously Chief Strategy Officer at Grand Street Settlement, an anti-poverty nonprofit in New York City. At Grand Street he built campaigns engaging elected officials, local and national media, and nonprofit partners to position the organization as a policy leader in universal childcare. Prior to Grand Street he helped oversee the Minority and Women-owned Business enterprise division as an Associate Commissioner at the Department of Design and Construction.
Chris was a Charlie Rangel International Affairs fellow and former United States diplomat who served in some of State Department’s most demanding assignments. In Haiti, he facilitated a $45 million hospitality industry investment. While at the United Nations he served on a White House cabinet official’s executive team and built coalitions with like-minded countries to negotiate international resolutions advancing gender equity and sustainable development. In his last diplomatic assignment, Chris led federal interagency coordination and private sector engagement to facilitate the White House approval of a $85 million bridge modernization between the US and Mexico.
Chris has a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. City and State named him a Top 40 under 40 Rising Star in NYC in 2022. He completed Coro Leadership New York in 2023. From 2021-23 he served as his Community Board’s Treasurer.
