Mike leads the strategic planning and consultation on many of Kasirer’s corporate clients. He brings to his client work over a decade of government and political experience at the federal, state, and city level.
Before joining Kasirer, Michael was Manhattan Borough Director for NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer, where he managed the community affairs team for the borough. He engaged with community leaders and other key stakeholders to help amplify the Comptroller’s agenda, as well as advise the Comptroller on community-related matters.
Prior to the Comptroller’s office, Michael served as Chief of Staff for NYS Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon of Brooklyn. He developed strategic plans and guided the day-to-day operations to ensure the fiscal and political health of the office.
Michael got his start in New York government as the New York City Advisor for Congressman Steve Israel, following a role on the successful re-election of the Congressman. He also interned in the offices of Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, and NYC Council Member Jessica Lappin.
Michael holds a B.A. in Political Science from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
