Melissa Rosenberg serves as a Vice President on the Real Estate team. She joined Kasirer in 2019 after working as a Policy Analyst at the Supportive Housing Network of NY, where she lobbied on behalf of supportive housing providers and developers and provided technical and strategic assistance, focusing on affordable housing finance and community relations.
At Kasirer, Melissa has led some of the larger and more high-profile rezonings. Most recently, she successfully led the team in securing approval of the Innovation QNS rezoning, the largest private rezoning in Queens history, delivering over 3,200 units across five city blocks. Melissa has also aided large cultural institutions in securing Landmarks Preservation Commission approvals that enabled major expansion, strategized to secure competitive RFPs for developers, and aided nonprofits in navigating complex community relations issues related to homelessness.
Previously, Melissa was a Senior Analyst at the NYC Office of Management and Budget (OMB). There she oversaw budgets for a portfolio of administrative agencies and elected officials that included the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DOITT).
Melissa holds a Master’s in Public Administration from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. In her spare time, Melissa serves as a Member of Manhattan Community Board 7 in the Upper West Side.
