Jennie Frishtick: director, government relationsJennie joined Kasirer after serving as an Outreach Intern in the Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, where she assisted the Director of Outreach in her work with local and statewide organizations, government agencies, and other elected officials, gaining an understanding of the NYC political landscape. Jennie’s work with the Senator’s Outreach team included drafting office correspondence, researching and preparing meeting briefs for the Outreach Director, and monitoring NYC political news for all five boroughs.

During the 2016 election cycle, Jennie worked as an Organizer for the Democratic Party of Virginia. In that role, Jennie recruited and trained more than 300 volunteers to register voters, canvass, and phone bank to increase voter turnout for the Clinton/Kaine presidential race and for state and local Democratic candidates. Leading up to Election Day, Jennie executed a successful Get Out The Vote campaign, bringing more Democratic voters to the polls in her district than in the previous presidential election.

As a student at Scripps College, Jennie founded the Claremont Colleges chapter of the Secular Student Alliance to provide an intellectual, social, and activist community for humanists, atheists, and agnostics.

Jennie graduated from Scripps with a BA in Sociology with a focus in Secular Studies and a minor in Foreign Languages.
