Doug Spring: associate nonprofitsAs an Associate on the nonprofit team, Doug supports the development and implementation of client strategy for budget appropriations and policy and legislative proposals. Doug started his work at Kasirer as a Government Relations Intern, where he helped draft policy memos, research local and state issues, and monitor New York City Council hearings. Additionally, Doug helps run Kasirer’s internship program, overseeing their work throughout the semester, organizing the program’s Speaker Series which features professionals in and around New York City government, and serving as a mentor to the interns.

Previously, Doug was a Resident Director at Fordham University where he led a staff of resident assistants and a community of three hundred students. He graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Political Economy and a minor in Business Administration while also serving on the United Student Government as a Senator and later as VP for Operations. Doug then earned his master’s degree in Elections and Campaign Management at Fordham and represented the program on the Graduate Student Association.
