Denisse Giron: contracts & compliance assistantDenisse Girón provides support for complex Federal, State Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE), and New York City Clerk lobbying law and regulatory compliance. She is also responsible for drafting and reviewing client agreements. She maintains the firm’s tracking systems, files disclosures with the appropriate bureaus, and completes external lobbying audits. She also provides clients with guidance on enrollment, client filings, audits, and general State or City lobby law.

Prior to joining Kasirer, Denisse was an Associate Lobbyist at Gotham Government Relations, a boutique firm on Long Island, and an assistant for its sister law firm, Gerstman Schwartz LLP, for several years. There she gained experience lobbying local legislatures, New York City, and Albany for a range of clients. She was successful in drawing down State funds for non-profit clients and drafting legislation for multiple business associations’ interests. Denisse also managed the firm’s Federal, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Nassau County, and Suffolk County lobbying reports, as well as Political Action Committee (PAC) campaign finance disclosures.

Denisse interned for several non-profit organizations, including Make the Road New York, where she lobbied for Federal and local immigration issues. In 2015, she was named one of New York Hispanic Coalition’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars.

Denisse has a B.A. in History from Hofstra University.
