Brian Daaleman: director, government relations, corporate & legislationBrian serves as the Director of Government Relations and Corporate & Legislation at Kasirer. Brian primarily works to address and advance the legislative interests of a wide range of Kasirer’s corporate and nonprofit clients within the City Council. Brian started his career as a Government Relations Intern before joining the firm as an Associate.

Prior to joining Kasirer, Brian served as the Housing Intern at the West Bronx Housing and Neighborhood Resource Center. There, he consulted with Bronx residents who facing eviction to guide them through the Housing Court process, as well as helped them access critical government resources and funding to repay their rental arrears. Brian also assisted them in applying for affordable housing opportunities throughout New York City and addressed his client’s housing-related issues as they emerged.

Previously, Brian also served as the Government Relations and Advocacy Intern at Habitat for Humanity New York City. At Habitat for Humanity, he worked with their government relations team to build support for the organization’s legislative priorities related to the establishment of Community Land Trusts in New York City, as well as the expansion of affordable housing grants across New York State. Additionally, Brian was a Refugee and Immigration Services Intern at Catholic Charities, where he enrolled clients into government programs and worked with subsidiary community partners to improve the livelihoods of refugees and asylees in the New York region.

Brian graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a B.A. in political science.
