Anastasios Zias is an Associate, Business Development. Working closely with Kasirer’s Deputy Chief of Staff, his role centers around new business development, from client intake to research to proposals; undertaking firmwide research projects and preparing briefing materials for the firm’s principals and team members. Anastasios also helps to monitor, track, and support all materials related to elections and politics.
Anastasios originally joined Kasirer as a Government Relations intern after graduating from New York University, where he majored in Politics and minored in Law and Society. During his time at NYU, Anastasios also worked as a Legal Assistant at Piere Michel Real Estate, a boutique real estate firm in downtown Manhattan, where he worked closely with the principal broker to analyze legal documents and coordinate with clients. At school, Anastasios served as an Associate Editor and Staff Writer for the university’s Undergraduate Law Review and as a Board Member on NYU’s LS-to-CAS Advisory Committee, a small team of students collaborating with leadership from the university advising staff to help implement changes to and improve the college transition process. Anastasios was also selected to be a member of the Student Leadership Council on then-candidate Biden’s presidential campaign and helped found VoteBlueNYU, a student-led club focused on raising awareness of issues including climate change, immigration reform, and racial justice.
Anastasios was born and raised in New York, having grown up in Queens and graduating high school at Hunter College High School on the Upper East Side. Alongside his duties at Kasirer, Anastasios is pursuing a JD at New York Law School, with the intention of using his experiences and law degree to enhance his work at the firm. He is also fluent in Greek.
