Alexander Spyropoulos: senior associate, government relationsAt Kasirer, Alexander works with many of the firm’s clients from the corporate sector in addition to working on the firm’s legislative portfolio where he is primarily focused on tracking legislation in the City Council. Additionally, Alexander helps run Kasirer’s internship program, overseeing their work throughout the semester, organizing the program’s Speaker Series which features professionals in and around New York City government, and serving as a mentor to the interns.

Alexander joined Kasirer after serving as Special Assistant to U.S. Congressman Adriano Espaillat, where his responsibilities included drafting policy letters for in district issues, writing briefings for the Congressman to prepare him for his meetings and events, and staffing the Congressman at meetings and events in district.

Prior to working for U.S. Congressman Adriano Espaillat, Alexander was the Field Director for a Manhattan City Council Campaign. There he crafted and oversaw the execution of an extensive field operate, with a team of over 40 interns and volunteers. Alexander also has experience interning for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in both her New York City and Washington D.C. offices, as well as for Hillary for America in New Hampshire, and U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney’s re-election campaign.

Alexander is a native New Yorker. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in political science from Union College.
