Business Development & Communications
Kasirer is seeking to hire an energetic and hard-working individual with strong verbal and written communications skills, superb organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to join our growing team of professionals.
The ideal candidate is a generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They must be self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage their time while handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail. This individual must be a flexible team player with a can-do attitude and remain calm under pressure.
This position will be supervised by both the Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President, Operations and Administration. The role will be part of Kasirer’s Central Staff, which is comprised of other operational and administrative roles. While there is no intention for this team member to participate in any lobbying activities, the position is intended to support the firm’s ability to be effective for its clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Business development and partnerships: to work with Kasirer’s business development team to support prospect research, marketing and more to encourage business growth.
- Communications and marketing: to support the execution of Kasirer’s communications and marketing strategy, including social media, solicitation emails, marketing and sponsorships, awards and more.
- Political monitoring and coordination: to monitor, track and analyze all relevant political news and updates, and share updates with both staff and clients.
- External event management and coordination: to strategize on which clients and staff should participate in external events and coordinate logistics including invitations, payment and tracking, and prep.
- Memberships: to keep track of Kasirer’s memberships and work to leverage each opportunity available in our benefits packages.
- Project coordination: to lead the coordination of Kasirer projects that support clients and staff.
- Research: to conduct research and write memos and analysis of relevant city, state or federal policy or political topics for use by Kasirer staff and/or clients.
- General support: to support Kasirer’s senior leadership team and Central Staff on firmwide projects that require additional capacity.
Knowledge and Skills
- Superb interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of, and interest in, City and State government highly desirable
- Strong customer service ethic and disposition
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), especially Outlook
Experience Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Ability to work at least three (3) days in-person, two (2) days remote (office is 120 Broadway, New York)
Salary Range/Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
