Jessica Madris: associate government relationsJessica helps support the team’s research needs related to business development while also assisting with supporting on existing clients across portfolios. Jessica joined Kasirer after working as a Research Consultant at Global Cities, Inc., a Program of Bloomberg Philanthropies, where she helped conduct research to inform a report on evaluating global citizenship education. She previously worked as a Special Assistant to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Grants Administration and Public Private Partnerships at the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA). In that capacity, Jessica helped support the Assistant Deputy Commissioner by drafting memos, presentations and letters of support. She also oversaw the implementation of a “train the trainer” program in which HRA staff trained approximately fifteen case managers on benefits access. Jessica also worked as an Intake Specialist with the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy Long-term Recovery Program.

Jessica graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Political Science and earned a master’s in public administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she concentrated in Urban Social Policy and specialized in Gender and Public Policy. During her time at Columbia, she was a merit fellow and worked as a departmental research assistant for the Urban Social Policy department.
